Syed Munawar Hassan and his Controversial statement
Syed Munawar Hassan is a well-known Islamic Political leader and Current Ameer of Jamaat e Islami, which is the main stream Islamic Political party of Pakistan. He recently issued a statement which triggered a severe debate and got immense reaction from all the circles of the country. Syed Munawar Hassan called the Tahreek e Taliban Chief Hakimullah Mehsud a Martyr who was killed by the American drone attack. He said that Pak Army was also supporting American Army so the Pakistani soldiers being killed in the war against Taliban can also not be called martyrs. Syed Munawar Hassan has defended his statement by explaining that his statement was true in the light of Sharia Laws.
Syed Munawar Hasan has a long history of activism in different times of his life starting from a passionate college student engaged in political activities, first from the communist student party and then starting a long career in Jamiat Talaba e Islam, which led him to be the Secretary general of Jamaat e Islami and then Ameer.
His statement ignited a strong protest among the families of the martyrs of Pakistan Army and they have demanded an unconditional apology from him by appearing on media.
According to the party (Jamat e Islami) the views of Syed Munawar Hasan on this sensitive topic are according to his personal capacity and it is not the version or declaration from the party.
Syed Munawar has represented the Jamaat on many forums and platforms successfully. From a leader of Jamiat Talaba e Islam to the Ameer of Jamaat e Islami his career has seen more success than failure. But now there is a need to be cautious while addressing these type of controversial statements to avoid further unrest in the country.
There is a need of mutual harmony and unity to take the country out of the crisis and which can only be done by the cooperation of all stakeholders.

Interesting comparison between IPhone (IOS) and Android based Phones
A great number of people in our country are using IPhones and Android based phones but most of them don’t know the features and advantages or disadvantages of using the Android based phone or Apple (IOS) based phone. So below is the comparison for the benefit of Mobile users.
Applications: Android has the biggest advantage that it has more than 70,000 applications available and in IPhone they claim to have more than 2,30,000 Apps and still growing.
Batteries: In Android one can remove or replace batteries and they are readily available in market and spare charged batteries can be kept to avoid depletion of battery power, but in IPhoneit’s not possible to replace or even see the battery.
Jailbreak: Most of the Android OS come with the option to Jailbreak from its current service provider and can be made functional in another country or service provider. IPhone has not this option by default you have to do it on your own and with risks.
Internal Memory: This is the disadvantage with android that it has limited internal memory, and due to a big number of apps in internal memory the phone becomes less smart whereas IPhone has larger internal memory options.
Notifications: There is a option of system wide notification and also by applications e.g. new mail or message which can be seen by pulling down the windows whereas in IPhone there are Push notifications and update relevant individual notifications.
External memory: External SD card can be used in android but there are complaints of data loss or corrupt cards whereas due to large internal memory of IPhone there is no need of SD card and also there is no option in IPhone.
Dictionary: The feature of voice integration by google here works wonders in the form of editable dictionary and thus gives flexibility and easy use whereas IPhone give artificial intelligence based dictionary like it learns as you type but disadvantage is that it can learn a wrong word if you have typed it wrong.
Style and Beauty: By appearance the apps icons look more beautiful in IPhone.
Fire Transfer / Sync: Files can be transferred to the laptop computer like plug and transfer but in IPhone there needs a separate folder for syncing on laptop andITunes does that all.
Hardware Design / Buttons: For different apps the meaning of back and center button changes but in IPhone it means the same what they are meant for.
Text Editing: Text editing is based on the apps having varying options but in IPhone there is fixed editing buttons and styles.
Charger: Charger is easily available in the market and any Micro USB charger will do the purpose but in IPhone you are dependent on only Apple made charger.
OS Upgrade: Oscan not be upgraded. IPhone supports the update of IOS.

We talk about Fast food and Burgers etc. two famous names click in our minds and they are McDonalds and KFC, but now in Pakistan there are many other international and local food chains which are providing fast food to the consumers.
Fast food is not all about only burgers. There is a great variety in Fast food. The food which can be quickly prepared and served immediately is basically known as Fast food. The well-known forms of Fast food are Burgers, Pizza, Fish, Chips, Kebabs, Tikkas, and Fried Chicken etc. We can also count Doughnuts in the list of fast food. Fast food is no doubt tasty, delicious, mouthwatering and readily available but there are certain drawbacks of fast food which must be brought into the light and they are:
- Fast food is heavy on stomach and not easily digestible.
- It causes constipation.
- Almost everyone consumes Cola drinks with burgers and pizzas, so consumption of so much sugar in the form of these soft drinks can cause diabetes because sugar contained in these drinks is not easily tolerated by the pancreas and can cause diabetes.
- The French fries are often made from poor quality oil especially in local food chains and moreover they have already lost their nutrition value and they can hardly be called as potatoes.
- These type of foods contain a lot of fat and cause obesity, bad stomach, loss of appetite, bad liver and pancreas function.
- It leaves a bad effect especially on the brain power and especially harmful for the students.
- The Fat in the burgers in the form of cheese and beef etc. causes increased cholesterol level and salt in the French fried can cause your blood pressure.
More and more people turn to the fast food only due to its quality of being readily available in a short time and also its easy portability without spilling anything, but its long run disadvantages and we should let our new generation know that the benefit which natural foods can give can’t be got from junk or fast foods.
